Artisan Brand Store Build
Overview01
NHE
NHE is a brand of bags handwoven one by one by artisans in Vietnam. I built its online store on Shopify as a fully custom build, themed around Vietnamese craftsmanship meeting the refined aesthetics of Japan. The base design was created by a local designer in Vietnam; I implemented the motion and built most of the UI.
Overview02
On the top page, hovering over a photo makes the image and text trade places as the scene slowly cross-fades to another photo. Over photography the header stays transparent with white type, slipping away as you scroll down and returning as a white bar when you scroll back up — so the calm of handcraft comes through in the motion as well.

On product pages, the details stay in place while the photos scroll, and colour swatches lead straight to each colourway. Sizing and materials sit in tabs, and the store is available in Japanese and English. Part of the sales goes to Empower Women Asia, supporting traditional weaving villages run by ethnic minority women in Vietnam.

On desktop, hovering over a photo gently swaps it for a second image.
Over photography the header turns transparent with white type. It slides away as you scroll down and returns as a white bar when you scroll back up, so the menu is always close without covering the photos.
Colour swatches show each variant and lead straight to every colourway.
Sizing and materials sit in tabs, so customers find what they need without long scrolling.
